but the bit you missed out is your hand will have to go back in your pocket to get that sculcoates birth cert as that is prob the correct one.
and Charles most likely got the wrong one when he applied for it and just used it any way.

What I dont really understand on the Boagey Atkinson thing is

william francis Boagey became
Frank Atkinson and married under that name to gertrude but
then they registered charles as a Boagey
who then went on to marry as an Atkinson.
why reg Charles as a Boagey if they had taken the name Atkinson and married under it?
Why not reg him as Atkinson?
