Oh well Sean
was worth the thought I guess.

You know I am ,almost, never sarcastic Evie.

And the only way I got on the Boagey trail was through Sean giving the RogeyBogy stuff at the start from the wrecked cert and so i just went hunting Charles edward Nelson without a surname and hit the jackpot.

Clever me for once.

I think Viv might be being just a tad ... dare I say it?? ... sarcastic. ;)

It was all I could do to figure out what she'd done before I even got here!

Ihave been thinking,oh dear.
Who were the witnesses at grandad charles wotsits boagey/atkinsons wedding?
Could one of them have been the elusive lucy?
does mother not remember ANYTHING about her as she would have been her aunt if she was charlie boys sister?

Thank you for the fab Sean, they were one of my favourite lollies when I was a child.
But I think Evie is the one who deserves it most at the moment as she is so quick I just have to follow her lead.

Your posts are a joy to read now Sean, a model of coherent posting. ;)

It is interesting - you couldn't make it up, actually.

Where the Nelson came from -- you may not find out -- but if you do, who knows, you may end up being related to Patrick's coworker. ;)

Hi Sean,

I work with a bloke called Michael Nelson, his family come from the Isle of Man but I beleive they are originally from up north of England.

Pat.

YIPEE
Thanks Sean.
I think that esther and hunter must have mutually agreed to do what they did.
Well neither of them moved far did they?

I agree with Evie
Try hitting the ruddy "enter"key on the right sometimes Sean
I have to read what you have written about 3 times to get what you mean!
We will both give a big YIPEE when you do it the first time.

Oh yes I have, Sean. Mine. ;) (Different oddities, but full of 'em too!)

That's how I learned all the tricks -- practising on my own family!

Can I demonstrate what I was asking, about the ENTER key?

Here's what you wrote:

hi evie i dont know how long you have been helping people like me but have you ever come across a family like mine trust me im not one it stoped with william although my grandfather charles has yet to be investigated what will we find there i wonder i have to keep going over the posts just to keep track of it all and then viv has to remind me names i get wrong

Here's how it would look if you used the ENTER key (hit it twice to make a nice white space) to break it up:

______________________________________________

hi evie

i dont know how long you have been helping people like me but have you ever come across a family like mine

trust me im not one
it stoped with william although my grandfather charles has yet to be investigated
what will we find there i wonder

i have to keep going over the posts just to keep track of it all
and then viv has to remind me names i get wrong
______________________________________________

See how you can tell, now, where one thought ends and another starts?

Please? It's so easy to do, and it just makes life so much easier for us reading.

1911

BOAGEY HUNTER S 1859 52 Hartlepool Durham
BOAGEY ESTHER B 1869 42 Hartlepool Durham
BOAGEY GEORGE 1904 7 Hartlepool Durham
BOAGEY DAVID A 1901 10 Hartlepool Durham
BOAGEY HUNTER 1898 13 Hartlepool Durham
BOAGEY MARY E 1892 19 Hartlepool Durham

ATKINSON ESTHER F 1865 46 Auckland Durham (born Hartlepool)
- not sure who else is in the same household other than "Jane Bruel Atkinson" -- I think Viv provided this info earlier

It just keeps looking like the Esther Boagey in 1891, 1901, 1911 is ESTHER BANKS ALLEN
and the Esther Bayes who married Hunter Boagey is the Esther Atkinson in 1901 and 1911 (and Mary in 1891??).

My conclusion is that ESTHER BAYES BOAGEY and HUNTER BOAGEY both committed bigamy when they "re"married!

Oops - I see Viv's is the same. ;)
