This message was sent to me by Brenda (which i thought was you?) via PM

there is an entry for a Yvonne Gore on the Family search .org site Her age is given as 9 in 1920 and she was b in England but lives in America her father was b in Germany and her mother in France
the entry is in the search pilot records

dont know if this helps?

Do you think I should take a trip to Kew and have a look at nurses records?

Yes sorry guys!! You were indeed correct- I am going with the birdwhistle one! Sorry long day and typos happen :l

i think maybe Yvonne may have not know all the details on the death register?? as they dont appear to have got married maybe she just never saw his birthcert and as you say viv maybe he grew up in manchester.

i am going to wait for the other two certs to come through- but any ideas as to where i should go next?

Thanks as always guys

Yep ,she must mean birdwhistle one

Death cert had DOB
DOB: 27th June 1915
PLACE: MANCHESTER
*****************************************

Stanley Edward Greenhalgh- 27-07-1914 born in colwyn bay
**********************************

Stanley Greenhalgh DOB: 21-08-1915

***************************************
the colwyn bay one is only one with 27 in it.
Out by one month and one year
But the other is out by 2 months and it has no edward in it.

that is my diagnosis and I am sticking to it

Colwyn bay wins, if it were my rellie thats the one I would follow.
Even if on his death cert it says he was born manchester,he could have been brought up there from a young child and thought he was born there.

Hmm thought at first there was no Greenhalgh/Tootle marriage but there are a few possibilities on FreeBMD if you just put Too*. There is one in Chorley, I'll let you take a look Annie before muddying the water with a list of possibles,

Have you recieved Yvonne's death cert yet?

hi guys- sorry no replying today! was laying turf! (I know oh what fun eh)

Ok Uncle Ron & George No idea what side- just a vague recolection from patricia of them- when i pressed further she said she didint know.

(Then this is the woman who told me she was a greenhalgh and who is clearly not- so probabaaly not the most reliable source of info)

I did a 1901 & 1911 census search and found a few Greenhalgh (children who could match...) but again didnt add them as to yet again not to confuse others (and me.)

I would be interested in finding out more about the penelope- as my brother in law said he thinks there is a LIVING aunt- living in Teviot Street Poplar (not too far away from me) so possibly i could find her- any clues as to how i might goes about researching her a little more...?

I think the Ronald gore could be interesting to look in to....

start of thread Cheltenenham area for GORE...?

as we have found no Yvonne;s birth it does not rule this out....

thanks again guys- We will endeavour to find out this puzzle wont we-

I am just sooo gratefull to everybody who is taking the time to aid me- It really is the most helpfull and friendly forum and the kindness you all have shown is overwhelming and I think you all should be commeneded for all your hard work.

There is a May Gore in that list - I posted it earlier - but she can be discounted as she died the same year. There are plenty of Yvonnes and Yvonne M born 1919 *if* she wasn't actually born Gore.
