Brilliant,fantastico!
So much easier to read ,what old boy?

Off to search them watsons out ,on 1911 with the magic trick.

I cant find Agnes in 1841 with daddy though ,so she MUST still be in Ireland.
I will search some Irish records on her later.

OK I take back my thoughts on the majority of Men in my life,
They worm their way in ,get what they were after, and then do a runner.
Which you did upon saying you were off for a cuppa.

Being the x wife of 3 husbands, sister of 4 brothers ,mother to 3 sons and grannyviv to 2 grandsons I think I have a diploma in the male species now.

Maybe ,just maybe, there is the odd exception to the rule.

Hmm,it would seem that mary ann legassicks mothers name is not elizabeth as per the 1871 census but Eliza as per the 1861 census, which I will let you find.
********************************************

But here is her parents marriage

Marriages Sep 1846 (>99%)
Legassick William St Giles 1 92
Rudd Eliza St Giles &c 1 92

The district St Giles &c is an alternative name for St Giles and it spans the boundaries of the counties of London and Middlesex.

Strange that some have" &c" after the St giles and some dont.

If you ever send for that I would only put the name" willam legassick "on the order form I think in case I have picked the wrong bride, but it is the only eliza on the page, although there are 7 women on the page and only 4 men.

Also on the same page as that marriage is a Miriam Legassick marrying someone.

A double wedding maybe?

It has to be william legassicks marriage though as all the others at the right time are in portsmouth or elsewhere.

FannyByGaslight Report 22 Jun 2009 21:04

buggritt!

Two possibles for george watson on 1911 in wandsworth.
My grandparents were born near there, and me mum.

HOUSEHOLD WATSON GEORGE M 1890 21 Wandsworth London
HOUSEHOLD WATSON GEORGE M 1890 21 Wandsworth London

Looks like you need to buy his marriage cert for his dads name ,unless he uses the second name of frederick as well on 1901.
