Also, apparently, where they lived was so close to the border some of the references state Hereforshire. I am grateful for your help. sorry I didnt reply sooner, but havent been doing the tree for a little while. Is there any info Richard and Ann. Mary's parent seem elusive as well.. Cheers Lorraine

	Why is the Clerkenwell marriage (found by Portland Rose ) being ruled out? Many a couple who had come to london for work married there for financial reasons -it was cheaper than travelling all the way home -both my grandparents did this George Powell m Mary Waters 1850 Sep Q vol 3 page 104
