David and Elizabeth Smith had a daughter called Elizabeth, but she was born 1877. Their Harriet was born the same year as Henry and Eliza's, 1874, and they also had a John, but born 1880.

Both Elizabeths had the same parents at the same address. I have checked on the original records. This is baptism records so If first one died as a bay and mother was prgnant she could have named new baby after the one that died.

That is my GGAunt Harriet, later Harriet Town, born 1874.
Amazing that David Smith, married an Eliza, and had a daughter called Harriet, born in the same year and same place as Henry and Eliza. Surely they could have all been a little more original!!!
Can't be with Elizabeth, as I said, she became Lizzie Cason, mother to Charles and Lilian.
Hard to say without looking at the certificate who the 2nd Elizabeth 'belonged' to.

It seems to have been a mass family baptism on 10 may. Perhaps the earlier one died as a baby. I have families with 5 attempts at having a child with a particular name.

2 Elizabeth Smiths to the same parents born 2 years apart? 14 Sep 1865 is Lizzie, later Elizabeth Cason. Who is the 10 May 1867? Or is that a typo, and Harriet's Baptism date?

Kira, I can confirm the 1871 census is correct. That's 2 more relatives to add!!
I can also add that Emma and Caroline both died at the same time in 1871.
I remembered the 1911 census, which a friend found for me, has living and dead children. Henry and Eliza had 14 children, 7 died. So there are more to find.

Now the 1871 looks promising Kira.
I have no records for Emma and Caroline ...yet but all of the others fit well. This was one of the census I couldn't find. TY I will delve into the daughters..perhaps they died young.

Have corrected the surnames for Harriet and Charles. It looks like Jason on the census, but knowing it is Town, it becomes clear to see.. Perhaps because she had a mental illness, as this wasn't stated on any census either.
