Thanks for this. Ann must be his 3rd wife, confirmed here with the children from Sophia. Had a note that he could have married for a 3rd time to an Ann Gabriel in 1857.
Definately my George, yet age differs from 1851 census, yet children right names and ages.
Hope all can understand why I have been so confused.

This is the same family in 1861....Georges age is now 69 giving a yob of 1792....which would fit.

I do have doubts on this because of ages.
A contact via genes, descendant from this family, has told me that this Percival 1850 named his son, Percival Langridge Williams born 1882. Obviously a family link somewhere, just not sure where and when.

If george Langride Williams was born c1792 and he married Sophia this is probably not him

The image for the 1841 census that I posted is not very clear. Sophia may well have been 29, not 19.

Thanks for this but believe this is other William and Matilda I mentioned. Found them on 1851 census as household 371. had different childrens names.
Mine lived at Grafton Rd, St Pancreas in 1861.

Thanks. This certainly looks like them. Sophias age doesnt tally with the 1851 census though, as this makes her born 1822 where as in census she is 39yrs old, making yr of birth 1812. (In 1851 her husband would have been 59 and Sophia just 29!!??) Census ages are often out though arent they. Also could there be 2 families , mothers possibly widowed, with daughters called Matilda, Sophia and Caroline. Unlikely surely.
Also it would mean the possible birth of Sophia that was found is also incorrect as on there it states mothers name as Sophia.
Getting confused again

When the spouses ages are down as "full"on marriage cert Ancestry always for some stupid reason assign the same year as marriage to the age,why not just put age NK on transcript beats me.
But that is Ancestry for you..

The ages are so different which is what was confusing me and making me doubt it all.
