Hi Adrian

It was Sheila who was asking the questions.

I'm just one of many members who "help" other members by finding information. I have no connection with the families

It looks as though that first (opening) post was Sheila's one and only post, so she may not still be a member.

May I suggest that you contact her directly .............. GR do not notify members that there are new posts on treads on the Boards.

Simply click on her name, and type your message in the box that appears. Then click Send

GR will then send an email to Sheila's home email address to notify her that there is a message in the internal messaging system of the site .........................

all you have to do then is hope that Sheila still has her current email address on file with GR

Good luck

Hi Sylviain, Just seen your inquiry, wondered how far you had got. I am interested because my family came from Edinburgh in 1861 to Worcester England, where as your family went to Birmingham, England in about 1850. Also one of my ancestors William C married a Catherine Davidson. My oldest ancestor came from Tulliallan / Culross, Scotland in 1779. Birmingham is 26 miles from Worcester. I am also trying to remember if Thomas Carmichael's Death certificate in 1880 Birmingham would list his Fathers & Mothers name, They would on a Scottish certificate. Regards Adrian J Carmichael

Several Public Family Trees show that Thomas Carmichael married Barbara Smith, ca 1838 ...... but no evidence or documentation shown!

I think you need to get access to Scotland's People, which is a pay-per-view site.
