hey yall im looking for any info possible for my nans side of the family and posiblly my nan too. she was born in south wales and has a sister lydia my nans name is mildred anne sainsbury born on the 16th novemeber 1916 and passed away onoctober 16th 1989. she lived in pontionnorton road cilfynydd and glyncoch she was in a relationship with william jones and then john byrnes not sure if they were married. with the both men my nan has go 4 kids with william and has 7 kids with john my mam being the youngest of them al. so if the names sound familiar plz could u help. heres the names of the kids john ,william, barbera dennis,elizabeth(known as betty gillian kenneth clive sheila mairwen and maureen plz help me find more info on my nans side of the family as my family dont remember that much thanx a lot

i was told by my mam and aunties and uncles that her middle name was anne and that she was born 16 11 1916

There are these Sainsburys in Pontpridd district on 1911. If the 1901 marriage is your nan's parents then where is she? Also they have children regularly from 1914. You'd expect to see children between 1901 and 1914, and there is only one possibility.

You need to get hold of your nan's birth certificate to find out who her parents were.

You can never rely 100% on what people tell you - memory plays strange tricks............

Your best bet will be to obtain her marriage cert - it should include her father's details

'kindda' what? If you're looking for info after the 1911 census it will be difficult.

sorry im new to this and thank you thank you all for the help you are giving as i dont get much help of my family as they dont remember much and wat i meant by kinda was yes it did add up to the info i had on lydia. how can i find out if my nan and lydia had any other sisters or brothers ??? as i sed im new to this so any help or advice would be much appreiciated thank you and agen im sorry for sounding ungratefull

on the first page of this thread there is a list of probable siblings of Lydia

surname Sainsbury and mother maiden name Jones

this info was got from the freebmd website - the link has been posted previously

the other info on here is the JONES family ie Lydia's mother (Ann Elizabeth) and her parents Evan John and Elizabeth

Ann Elizabeth Jones married Herbert Sainsbury - Lydia etc are their children (we believe)

Can't find Herbert and Ann together on the 1911 census even though they were supposedly married by then.

Either their names have been mistranscribed or they were living elsewhere, eg Scotland or overseas and later returned to Wales where they had the children.
