I can see he is in the UK in 1881, and by 1891 his wife is still in the UK with the children, she's stated as married but I just can't see Josiah. I haven't found him before the 1881 census..... did he also use the name Joseph?

emily is only 10 months old and mary is listed as married so josiah must be around somewhere

according to a tree on ancestry he had another child frederick born in 1892 and josiah died in 1901 it says frederick was born in manchester.

would have to be checked but looks like he stayed in uk.

Just checked Free bmd & Ancestry....there are no deaths for a adult male by the name of Josiah crook.between 1900-1920 im manchester...

he may not have died in manchester
