Looking for info please on Justice James LIDDELL b. 1863 Victoria, Australia, d. 1933 Victoria, Australia. Father James, mother Annie (nee JUSTICE); I have info on them in Australia.

I found his passage to San Francisco, California, departing April 1910 and arriving 9th Nov 1911. I think from South Africa; can't read the name of the ship. His last permanent residence was in Vancouver, Canada. He was a bricklayer, aged 46. He states he had previously been in the USA in California & Arizona in 1909-10.

I don't know when he left Australia, nor when he returned. I have not found a marriage for him here.

Any records of him in the US or Canada please? Hoping the unusual given name will help!

He married FANNY LAVINIA JONES 04 Jun 1906 in St Pauls Birmingham, daughter of CHARLES JONES and LAVINIA PRITCHARD. She was born 25 Dec 1884 in Oldbury Bridgnorth Shrops, and died 23 Dec 1947 in Rathwell Winnipeg Manitoba.

My father Frederick Cotterill told me a story about when he was a little boy, A man came to visit his parents and got talking to my dad, he said he was from Canada, he told hjm about how he had to cut a blaze in trees to mark his route so he could find his way back, The man also told him that he had come to see the little boy who was named after him, His name being Frederick Cotterill. William Frederick in some records.

If he was in the Great War and was demobbed in Britain or going back to Canada my father wold have been 8 yrears old, my dad was born 1910.

Father Alfred cotterill b1857, mother Dinah Gossage b1855.
Ferederick Cotterill b1879, siblins Ashwell Minnie and Florence.
all are in the records untill 1901 after that they just disapear.
