Hi Jenni - welcome to the boards. It's a few years since Isabel posted on this thread and she doesn't seem to have used the boards since (only 6 posts under her name and they all seem to be on this thread). |

Isabel, I've just stumbled across this post in my own research. Joseph Milson and Agnes Jeffrey were my great great grandparents it seems. I'm just wondering if you found out any more? My great Grandmother was Henry's older sister Harriet! |

Yes that's the one. I also came across a marriage for a Gertrude Hall in 1917, Sheffield to a Arthur Coggan. I do believe she did get married after giving Margaret up. So sad, but you never know what went on did you. Thanks for that |

Hi Jan, it's more complicated as I think Margaret was illigitimate! I have managed to find out that her mother was called Gertrude and I think that Margaret was taken in and brought up by a family called Poynter. |

Wow, you lot are very good at this. I can start to piece bits together now. The Australia part will be more difficult but I will come back to it. I know he definitely ended up there as I found his application for permission to remain in Oz after discharge from the British armed services in 1945. |

If you want to find out more about Margaret, might be an idea to get the marriage cert as it's such a common name (watch out for that Milson spelling when ordering certs): |

Thanks for that. There is this thing with the spelling like lots of other names, can be spelled either Milson or Millson. On Geoff's bc it is spelled with two. |

Just to clarify Jan's post - Jeffery is the mother's maiden name. |

Henry "Ted" Millson b1913 Rotherham. Married in 1932 to Margaret Hall b 1915 Tinsley S Yorks. Had two sons Terrance and Geoffrey. He ended up in Australia after WW2 and possibly married an Australian and had one other son named Michael. Trying to find out who his parents were or any info on his wife Margaret. Sorry for sketchy details. Any help would be welcome. Thanks |
