Hello Kaye,

I have just come across your 2010 query and associated replies about the Hackman families of Godalming. One of my 4*great-grandfathers was a George Hackman, born about 1786 in Godalming. He married Elizabeth Carrington in 1809 and had nine children, all born in Godalming. I have never been able to determine the identity of George's parents. I wonder if you might have accumulated information about this couple and if you are able to shed any light on earlier generations.

Regards,

Robert Blazey.

Hello Robert

Welcome to the boards.

If you look at the date of Kays last posting you will see it was Nov 2010 she may not see your post.

If you click on her name you can send her a PM (private message) if she is still a member and if she still has the same email address GR will send her an email to notify her that she has received a message.

If you wish to check that she has opened your message go to your list of went messages and if it is showing an envelope she hasn't opened it if no envelope she has.

Good luck and if you need any help try posting details on the find ancestors board
