Lol, so he did Dee! :-))

(I'm sure I remember looking for a Butcher George Prescott before in the past, not sure of the outcome, seems to ring a bell)

Chris :)

Mind you, at my age many bells are a ringin', lol.

sorry started looking but lost connection so you outran me.

i did look at fmp address search though

1891 Queensland square was quite posh
few residedents but include marqis of Salibury

1911

more residents per house

occupations include launderess street artist costermonger etc so a definite downturn

Dea

Dea Report 16 Feb 2011 16:14

Yes - the Perry's are O.K., but we are hinging the proof on George Martin at the address on 1901 being the same as the address for Henry at marriage when it wasn't 'quite' ???

Just thought I would throw this in - was Henry named for his paternal grandfather or uncle perhaps?

I believe we are right Fans but I DO like to be certain !! e.g.:

Re the 1901 address - 'slight' problem - 1901 was 10 Queensland Square - addresses on marriage cert were 96 Queensland Road and 10, QUEENS Square !!! - Needs confirming !!!

One or two other points need confirming too I am afraid !!

We all know by now just how easy it is to go along with something which looks 99.9% right, only to find it is in fact 100% wrong !!

I really think the address on marriage cert and on 1901 census for George Martin(Butchers assistant )does it for me folks....Cant see how much more cut and dried it can be...

Sorry couldnt help out more but HID is away to Somerset for the day and so I have extra outside work to do...Soz...

Not that I was really needed after the 1901 Pescott census anyway..:)

Well done folks...

Just needs one of you to put it all into easy to follow wording now.:)

Like Henry/Harry Prescott/Pescott was ILLEGITIMATE but knew who his father was(bit of luck there) .....Take it from there folks....

Hang on everyone !!!!!!

I'm still not quite back yet but although I DO think we have something here, there are several 'loose ends' to sort out before any of us should get out the 'Halo polish' !!!!

I will come back to them soon !
