Hello I'm Angela, the Daughter of Margaret (Maggie) McDonough (Guinee, Fitzgerald) and John Fitzgerald. I was born in 1958 on Woodbine Street, Salford.
We did live with my grandad - Thomas McDonough. He died in London, as he was a Chelsea Pensioner. I think that this was around 1967/1968.
I know some of the Byrne family, and will be happy to help fill in the blanks of our family tree. xx

hi everyone,

ive had to order the marriage certificate by post so im now just waiting.

But was wondering if anyone during the recent searches that you all did for me did anyone ever find maggie obrien after the census in 1911, or even before that census as i am having great difficuly in finding her

thank:D

Kelly Report 16 May 2011 20:45

when i showed my grandad the birth certificate of his mum mary quigley (byrne) he was rather shocked to see that about his mum, he didnt have a clue.

And after some more searching onthe net i think ive found his mums death in 1912 right after giving birth to a male, so i think thats where the confusion has come from.

But when i finally track down the marriage certificate and get the name of margaret obriens father and a bit more info on her i will then be able to trace her as she was born in england

And hopefully find the relatives of margarets other child maggie obrien and try and find out what happened to her as she was mary quigleys sister

really enjoying this now just wish some things were much more easier to track down lol

Kelly, I would send for the marriage certificate for Christopher and Margaret O'Brien to get her father's name. We don't know if she was single or widowed when she married Christopher as she already had a child. The 1911 gives her birthplace as England so we may be able to trace her on the census records.

Kelly, have you tried to contact the GR member who has the probable children of Catherine and Pauline in their family trees??

Kelly

Kelly Report 16 Apr 2011 13:09

Finaly recieved the marriage certificate this morning so just thought i would just let u all no that
Patrick Byrne married Mary Quigley on the 13th Feb 1927 at St micheals Dublin
It shows that Parick Byrnes Father was also called Patrick Byrne (labour)
and marys father as Christopher Quigley (labour)
It also gives both fathers address as Patrick 40 kehoe square, and christopher as 109 kehoe square but thats as much info as it shows so looks like i might have to investigate liams link with 73 Pill Lane and christopher Quigley

i will keep you all posted again
Thanks Kelly x

If you just google "73 pill lane", Kelly, it gives you results in Dublin city directories.

If Liam would reveal his sources it might help others of us for future use too. ;)

You got the info I PMed?

Sent possible contact info for a possible child of Catherine -- and someone here at GR has that person in their family tree.

Even better, the child of Pauline whose name starts with T seems to be a member of GR with herself in her tree.
