Hi Chris,

I'll have a look to see if there is any Babbington records in the archives but I think the Chapel comes under Derbyshire. Have you asked Derek if he can help.

Wendy......I need you!!............I am trying to crack a nut for someone that refuses to be opened.....

I have ..ANN HAWKESLEY HUNT baptised 04.08.1825 to JOHN HUNT and ANN BROMLEY HAWKESLEY....who were married 17.06.1824............this all took place in and around Edwinstowe Notts.......

I cannot find Ann Bromley Hawkesley born c 1790 Edwinstowe......either under the name of Bromley or Hawkesley......was she Ann Hawkesley nee Bromley..or does the Bromley bit come from further back.........to be honest i can't even find Anne hawkesley born 1790 Edwinstowe!! see Census entry..

Can you please help??

Derek.

Hi Andrew,

I cannot find a christening for Alfred Baumfield but on the census (which I'm sure you have already seen) he mother was Jane Ann but the only way for you to get his actual date of birth and to be sure of his parents is for you to buy his birth certificate.

I did find 3 christening of his siblings all at St Nicholas Church Nottingham on 1 Feb 1857: Sarah Ann, Joseph and Mary Ann children of Benjamin and Jane of Chesterfield St, Nottingham, Benjamin is down as a Hawker.

I'll look for the burials next time I'm in the archives.

All the best

Wendy

Hi Wendy, writing from New Zealand, you seem like a very obliging person with your lookups for people, so I was wondering if I can trouble you to look for some details for me?

Looking for a date of birth for Alfred Baumfield, born Nottingham around 1862 - a BMD search shows 2/4 of 1862, Vol 7b, p,267 if that is any use, hoping also to confirm if his parents are Benjamin Baumfield/Jane Ann Bartlem? And if at all possible, death dates for Benjamin and Jane Ann, I suspect 1879 for Benjamin and 1901 for Jane Ann, but can't find anything to confirm it.

Would really appreciate any help :-)
