Hi Gai,

Here what I found for you:

Woodborough Church
Marriage 16 Feb 1816
Richard Warton of Calverton and Mary Thorpe of this parish by banns, Richard signed Mary marked with a X, witnesses were John Clay and John Glover.
Cannot find a christening for Richard in Calverton or for around 1791 but found the following at Woodborough
Christenings
26 Feb 1815: 3 brothers christened together:
Richard (an Adult)
John (an Adult)
Zaccheus (an Adult) all son of John & Sarah Warton
11 April 1784 John born 25 Feb 1784 son of John & Sarah Warton: notes say christened by dissenting Minster, so wonder if this is the same John as above as cannot find a burial for him.
Christening 2 Dec 1807 Mary aged 25 daughter of John & Sarah Warton: notes says by Testimony of parents.
Marriage of John Wharton & Sarah Clay 5 Jan 1779 (will look at this marriage next time I’m in the archives
There are those burials:
14 July 1812 Ann Warton daughter of John and Sarah, no age noted and haven’t found a christening yet.
16 July 1815 John Warton aged 64yrs
24 May 1825 Sarah aged 68yrs.

Hope this all helps, please let me know if you would like copies of the marriages.

All the best

Wendy

Hi Chrissie,

Sorry had to go off line last night. I cannot find burials for 1914 for Worksop or Mansfield Woodhouse cemeteries at the archives so you will need to get in touch with the councils that looks after them. I'll keep looking to see if I can find anything.

Sorry not to have been much help :-( :-(.

HI Wendy,

Would you please be kind enough to have a look for a birth for me.

I have a Richard Worton who according to the 1841 census was born in 1791 in Nottinghamshire. I have found on the LDS where he married a Mary Thorpe on the 26th Feb 1816 in Woodborough, Nottinghamshire, England.

I would love to know who Richard's parents were if at all possible.

Thanks
Gai :-)

Edit: Sometimes the names was spelt Wharton
