My ancestry is as follows

Robert Manners (b. 1782, Carthorpe) - Elizabeth Ward

^

James Manners (b.1756, Leake) - Anne Milnes

^

Richard Manners (b.1727, Helmsley) - Elizabeth Jackson

^

Richard Manners - Alice Greedy (married in Helmsley 1723)

This is as far as I can find. However there is a Manners family in the peerage which I didn't think I was connected to since they are in Rutland. However I have found George Manners, 11th Lord de Ros of Helmsley born in the late 1400s on the peerage. I'm confused as to whether there is a connection here? Suggestions please?

:-)
