Helen,thankyou so much for this. We have been trying to find out where the Findlay had come from, now we know!!! The name is still being used today! Rebecca.

I wouldnt normally like to ask anyone to use up their own credits however mine have apparently expired!!! I have managed to narrow down my searches by year and am looking for the following in births and baptisms pre 1855.
James Findlay Wilson in 1827.
