Member Since: July 2009 Posts: 1 Send Message	his death certifcate lists no mother or father he married twice in australia had 4 kids with wife number 1 she was margaret saunders from radnorshire in wales also a convict and she was tried for man robbery (LONG explanation to be left for another day) johns second wife was fanny tyrrell from trowbridge she was listed as a cook, john and fanny are buried in st marks cemetery in Picton NSW and i can send you a photo of the area and the church there are no grave markers for them :-D If you are a descendant than all i can say now is Howdy Cousin regards julie stratton

	If the record I have accessed is the correct person, he arrived in NSW on 4th Aug 1833, on the ship 'Waterloo'. If he was definitely born in Cheshire, the place name is almost certainly Stockport. Did he marry? If so, was his father's name recorded? Whe did he die? How old was he at the time?

	TonyOz has a thread on Convicts I think and he find a lot of info on them. I will have a look for his thread for you. Perhaps you could change your title to include 'Convict to Australia' or something similar, then he would notice it ? Dea x
