Member Since: February 2007 Posts: 12 Send Message	I am wishing the Genes community might be able to help? the family i am seeking are the Read family, Philip Read 1849, b St.Pancras, Old St.Pancras, in the borough of Camden, Phillip had 3 sister, Alice b 1851, Jane b 1853, and Clara b 1856 all born within the same parish, there parents as per the records are Phillip Read and Jane this imformation i found on the London Baptism records, i have searched for a marriage of Phillip Read and a Jane between 1840 and 1860 as i know sometime the parents got married after the children where born? the only marriage i could find was in 1838 but this was to a Mary Ann Adams but it seems very strange they would eait 11 years to have children? If anyone has any information on this family please kindly get in touch. Warm regards Chris Wiltshire

Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 825 Send Message	Have you managed to find the family on the 1851 census? I see that Philip's sister, Alice, was born 14th July 1851 in Charlton Street, St.Pancras. Parents Phillip and Jane Read - father a cabman. On the 1851 census for Charlton Street, St.Pancras there is a Phillip Read b.1849 plus an Emily b.1846 - but the parents are John and Jane Read (John is a cabman)

Member Since: February 2007 Posts: 12 Send Message	Thank you everyone for your help, in the 1851 census i believe it is the same family, as the is the same and what the father did as a job is the same, i have also found on the 1861 Census, a philip reade whos son phillip 1849 and clere 1856 , the ages of the children and where they where born match, if the 1851 Census is right then there is another child Emily b 1845/46, so need to find her birth details and as from the 1861 census phillip is a widower, so will also be looking for his wife death cert around 1856/57 again thanks everyone for your help. There are death registrations for St.Pancras: Mary Anne Read 1846 and Mary Ann Read 1847 Unfortunately ages are not given for these years. Now I've found the burial for the 1847 death - she was only 12 months old Just maybe, Philip did marry Mary Ann but she died, then Jane moved in with him. Mary Ann could have died giving birth to Emily in 1846. But this is just WILD SPECULATION. 	I am a little uneasy with this one, I can see the tree that Ginny referred to but I do not trust the trees on Ancestry without checking for myself and read is a common name. I have checked each of those baptisms.
