George Skinner Robb (born Fife, 23 June 1902) married Annie Beck Clark in Fife (1938?) and had two (?) children, one called Evelyn. I believe they emigrated to Australia about 1950. The strange thing is that George seemed to consistently give his name as John though his BC is quite clear (Father Thomas Robb, Mother Agnes Skinner - no twins involved).

I'm looking for a DC in Australia under the name of John or George.

Any help on this much appreciated as it is twisting my gourd. ;-) Malcolm.

All correct and fits in! My mistake (Humble apologies) about his mothers name. It was Agnes Goodsir his middle name was his grandmother.

Hie name really WAS George. I guess he didn't like it and used John. He did go to America and met his future wife - who had been to the US married a Mr Guvernant (spelling unsure) divorced and was returning when she met George AKA John on the boat.

Seems like only one child then, that's wonderful. I am doing this on behalf of the grandaughter of Annie Clark who is thus related to me in some way!!!

Many thanks for a quick response.
