will a death in 1959 show birth ?

A John Humphrey died mar 1959 age 75 Hailsham, i wondered if it tell syou what year he was born?

Do you mean would it tell you his date of birth ?

1884 is only a calculation,
It would depend when in the year his birthday was and also how accurate the age was as far as the person registering knew

Exact date of birth only appeared on d.certs 1969q2 - before that, only age at death was given. This was just to the best of the informant's knowledge. The GRO index showed the age pre 1969q2, and the d.o.b. thereafter.
