can anyone help me im trying to find harold james born in liverpool around 1914,he was in the merchant navy. all i can remember is he died abroad in 1946 or later.this person is a missing link in my family tree.his parents were benjamin & annie james my grandparents living in liverpool.

Do you know Annie's maiden name? I would locate his birth first of all, in case he has a middle name, which might be of help.

Have you checked for matches with other members using 'search all trees' - found in search box above right.
I have checked Ancestry trees but can't find anyone with this family.
How do you know he died abroad?
