Do you mean his surname was Will, or you are looking for will of Sampson Emery?? (Note the P in his name if so).

Yes, how silly of me it is Sampson Emery not surname Will, but when I looked on the index for Ancestry the nearest that fit was a Samson Emery. Thanks.

This is a follow on from the above for Sampson's wife Jane on the 1851 census. She isn't with him in 1851 as above but according to FMY there is a Jane still in Stafford in 1851 and I wonder if anyone would take a look to see who she is visiting etc. Refresher details are Jane Emery born 1800 in Hornby Yorkshire. Thanks.

Hi Jan On FMP index there are five Jane Emerys two born in 1801 and two 1800 one of which is at Stoke as above and the other says Stafford and it is this one I am after, thanks.

Hi Marian, the other Jane in Stafford is the one I posted above. Born in the Isle of Wight, she is the mother of James.
