I am trying to find details of my paternal grandmother's family.
She was Emily Ellen Eden nee Wood born 1882 at Derby or possibly Wolverhampton. Her father was Henry Wood born 1860 in the Wolverhampton area.

I agree Andrew. I've looked at FamilySearch and nothing obvious there. The marriage isn't on there either. Not expecting it to be obviously but I always live in hope.J

A connection to Leominster. Emily is a servsnt there in 1901. Elizabeth Morris in 1891 was born there. Cannot see marriage for Geo Morris and Elizabeth, names too common.

Thank you for the info. Not much further forward i'm afraid. I have the 1911 census showing the Eden family (including my father Wilfred Arthur Eden aged 4 and his mother Emily Ellen). Interesting history of Emily Ellen Wood. No idea who the Morris family in Wolverhampton were or the Hoff family in Leominster.
