Find Ancestors

I'm trying to trace the family of William Charles Harris, b1864 (or early1865). I have his marriage cert from his wife's record (Camberwell q4 1893 1d1468) giving his age 29 on 26/12/1893 and his death cert (2/3/1929 age 64, Camberwell Q1 1929, 1D 1642). I also have him on the 1901 and 1911 censuses living at 125 St George's Road Peckham.

But I can't find his birth certificate or any census appearances before 1901. I know he had brother(s) and his father was Thomas Henry Harris (tailor).

Could records have been destroyed in the war? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Marriage does say his father is deceased and William is down as an Editor of Newspaper.

Safc, you may be right but the age at death would not be consistent with the death or marriage certs and St George's Southwark is not Camberwell.
