	Why, then, did you only refer to Thomas? Try looking for them in Ireland...or look for deaths

	Where is Catherine in the later censuses? What is her recorded marital status? Did they have children?

He was born Salford, Manchester 1846 and I have him 1851 with his parents(John and Susannah) and siblings and in 1861 with his mother and siblings. He married Catherine Evans in 1870 and I have the 1871 census of them and her sister. He is a warehouseman. All the census are in Pendleton, Manchester. This is where I come unstuck and can find nothing more for Thomas. I am wondering if he travelled abroad and wonder if someone could check these records for me. (Do not confuse him with Thomas Sykes Powell born 1847 Salford) Any help would be appreciated Thank you Christine
