Find Ancestors

Trying to find any more children of William Scott and Dorothy Martin..They had a farm.
Have got Charles,William and James,but wondered if they had any other children .Also struggling to find William's and Dorothy's parents, but can't find any details anywhere,so may just not be available.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Pat

They move to Birmingham in the 1830's to set up their own gunmaking company,and much later join up with Phillip Webley to become
Webley and Scott Gunmakers.
These may be the only children,but would like to know if they had others.Getting any further back than these dates is proving impossible. Pat

Have you tried a google search for William Scott - there is a lot of info on-line about him, and the Company - you may be able to find an obit for him detailing other family members, or a will etc.?

Yes we have found a lot of details about them on several websites.
William (1805) married Mary Susan Middleditch and they had a son called William Middleditch Scott,who carried on the company when his father and uncle retired.I managed to get a copy of his will and that was really informative with lots of family names.He sounded a lovely man,very generous with his donations to charities and good causes,his friends and family.
But the problem is that we can't find out much about his grandparents William and Dorothy,and whether they followed their sons to Birmingham or stayed on the farm in Suffolk.I know there are limited details on some people,and we may not get any further back to find the earlier family members.But we would like to know if they had other children,which they may have done,as only the boys are mentioned because of their connection to the company.
I think Mary Susan's father ran the Ram Inn,in Bury st Edmonds.
