A John Rae born in Scotland c1884 emigrated to USA in 1908- 1909 can anyone give me any info please. Jill |

Do you know any more about him? His parent's names? Was he married when he emigrated? His occupation? There are over 30 John Raes with a YOB 1883-1885 on the 1901 Scottish census. |

There are also a few John Rae's of that age emigrating to USA around that time. |

In US 1920, there's only 1 John Rae of the approx right age (32) with pob=Scotland. |

On the attestation papers that Kay posted it looks like John snr was his stepfather. |
