Member Since: December 2005 Posts: 52 Send Message	I believe the people concerned (I am attempting to do them a favour) do have the Marriage cert. but have always wondered re father of Lillian, her having been born prior to the marriage. I have a copy of the Birth and parents are shown as LOVAAS, Thorstein Emil and OLIVE, Agnes Ada but there is some query in their minds due to the number of years between birth and marriage.. I have checked all the same sources that you mention, so I guess it will remain a closed book. Thanks again. Barb

Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 4,065 Send Message	The birth or the marriage? You can't get the birth cert but you can get the marriage one, though Qld certificates are a bit pricey. As mentioned, info from Qld BDM index online, NLA Trove, NAA Recordsearch and also just Google. :D Good luck, do let us know if you decide to get the marriage certificate.

Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 4,065 Send Message	Marriage from Qld BDM (online) - note this is AFTER Lillian was born: 1936/B26279 Lovaas Thorstein Emil Olive Agnes Ada Father - from NAA Recordsearch: Lovaas [Loeraas], Thorstein [Torsten/Torsteen] Emil - Nationality: Norwegian - Alien Registration Certificate No 2528 issued 11 June 1920 at Brisbane May have had sons named Trevor and Arnold and another daughter Shirley (from NLA Trove). Lillian appeared in amateur threatre productions according to newspaper articles at Trove. :-) Also: Morning Bulletin (Rockhampton), Friday 12 January 1945 LOST at Tivoli Theatre, Thursday's matinee. Identification Card and Ration Card in folder. Finder please return to LILIAN VALDA LOVAAS, 97 Cambridge St. Reward.

	Her parents John Joseph Oliffe/Olive 1860 – 1937 Eva Victoria McLaren 1883 – 1959 She died in 1968 according to a tree on ancestry
