John Report 1 Dec 2012 10:06

Hannah Painter lived in Ashton in Makerfield, Lancs. UK and had siblings, some of whom lived in Lancashire
At least one descendant was living in Bispham Lancs unto his death around the millennium.

Are there any more of the Painter clan who can tell me more ?

Thanks
John Rigby (Great grandson of JR 1855)

Hi Jon - welcome to the boards.
The best thing to do first is to check to see if any other members share this family. It's unlikely they will see this posting.
Go to search box above, and fill in any names you have in 'search all trees'. If you find matches you can contact the tree owner.
Otherwise, if you are stuck, put a few more details - such as census info you have - and specify what info you are looking for. There are plenty of people on here who are happy to help out.

"At least one descendant was living in Bispham Lancs unto his death around the millennium."

Whose descendant?

Are you totally sure that he married Hannah Painter?

Do you have them together on any census after their marriage please?

What do you know of any children they might have had?

Dea Report 1 Dec 2012 12:18

There is also a possible marriage for Hannah:

Marriages Jun 1873 (>99%)
HEALD Frederic Wigan 8c 4
HEATON John Wigan 8c 4
LITTLER Hannah Wigan 8c 4
Littles Hannah Wigan 8c 4
Painter Hannah Wigan 8c 4

I have looked into both these couples on 1881 and either Hannah would fit well with the age of 'your's'
