I'm trying to find details of my grandmother, Ada Read. She may have been born in Preston, or Burnley or Blackburn. Ada was born in 1885 and died in Liverpool in 1945, where she lived in 16 Derwent Road. I have my father's birth certificate from 1926 which states she is the mother of Richard Thomas Corlett and the wife of Richard Corlett, born the Isle of Man in 1879. On this birth certificate she is entered as Corlett, formerly Read. At this time she was living in 53 Derby Lane - a minutes walk from where she lived in Derwent Road. |
