Also looking for 2 of Alexander's ORR's possible brothers.

Samuel Orr born 1850 - North Shields, Durham. Last have him in 1851 living at home, working as a Paint Manufacturer

William Orr born 1858 - Sunderland, Durham. ?Have him in 1881 Census aboard the ship 'Dorcas' in Gravesend saying he's married.

There was also Edward born 1853, but he appears to die in 1876 and he's at home in 1871, working as a General Labourer.

Hi Joy - North Shields isn't in Durham.

Do you mean South Shields which IS in Durham, or North Shields which was then in Northumberland? (We're fussy up North!!)

Also, if Samuel was born in 1850 then they must have been very harsh parents putting him to work in 1851. Could you confirm the dates?
