Hi everyone,
Just wondered if any one could please help me here! The thing is I have not got a lot of information to go on but maybe someone could advise me on which root to take.

I have a Frederick Smith born 1902 from St Albans Hertfordshire parents being Henry/Harry Smith and Florence Hoppett Anderson, my question is I was told he was in the Navy but I do not no if it was the Royal Navy or the Merchant Navy, how would I be able to find this out?
Thank you for your time in reading this thread,
Kind regards Ann.
