	The records which have survived for WW1 (only 30% of the total) are transcribed on Ancestry

	Well what are the dates /year of birth for the person you are seeking? which will help to advise you. If you want to give names etc it can be looked at George

	June - just a tip, if you used the "My Threads" link on the left and went back to the thread then you could just add a request to the end of it asking how to find his war records. The thread would then come to the front of the boards. Keeps everything in context and we would have his details at hand to look for any service records.

	The only thing found so far is his medal card from Ancestry British Army WWI Medal Rolls Index Cards, 1914-1920 about W A Pritchard Name: W A Pritchard [Walter A Pritchard] Regiment or Corps: RAMC /2 AT, Hampshire Regiment Regimental Number: 4019, 07386 George

	Cant see any connection in Service Or Pension records, but as Reggie mentioned 70% of these records were destroyed inWW2, so his might be amongst them George

	June, a medal card shows what awards someone got in WW1 - that number 4019 corresponds to what's on the death cert.

	June A medal card shows the medals he was awarded in WW1, in his case he received the standard three medals that were awarded to most who served in a war zone, affectionately known as "pip, squeak, and wilfred" links for further explanation http://www.fylde.demon.co.uk/pip.htm http://www.greatwar.co.uk/medals/british-ww1-medal-records.htm He also served with the Hampshire Regiment. 	Cant really say about the ambulance service, suppose its possible, also perhaps when he was in the Hampshire Regiment he was a stretcher bearer, a very dangerous thing to be doing. Will send image shortly George Edit image sent

	June All surviving WW1 service & pension records are on Ancestry which is where i have looked, as i mentioned earlier i can only find his medal card, sorry but it looks as though his records have not survived so you will not find them anywhere else. George
