June - just a tip, if you used the "My Threads" link on the left and went back to the thread then you could just add a request to the end of it asking how to find his war records. The thread would then come to the front of the boards. |

Cant see any connection in Service Or Pension records, but as Reggie mentioned 70% of these records were destroyed inWW2, so his might be amongst them |

June, a medal card shows what awards someone got in WW1 - that number 4019 corresponds to what's on the death cert. |

Cant really say about the ambulance service, suppose its possible, also perhaps when he was in the Hampshire Regiment he was a stretcher bearer, a very dangerous thing to be doing. |
