We're not likely to find them together on a census, so how have you got back to them? If through their descendants or marriages could you give more details please. |

Looking into the possibility that these 2 are half brothers to my 3xGreat-Grandfather, Richard Huntsworth born c1811 in Caverswall, Staffordshire (son of John Huntsworth and Mary Buxton). |

I've looked on FMP and Ancestry and I'm not seeing either in 1841 or 1851. |

Problem with baptism records is you have no idea if they were a baby, young child or adult when baptised |

Hmmn. Elizabeth Huntstworth born c1836 certainly peaks my interest. Looking at my notes, I have a young girl by that name/born about the same time in Manchester, Lancashire, living with a MARTHA HUNTSWORTH & liste as her neice. |

I've just put birth places on the 1851 census, the family seem to move between Manchester and Macclesfield, and I'm pretty sure I saw Martha in Macclesfield. Wonder if there is a connection. |

There must be 2 Elizabeth Huntsworth's around, we have 1 with father Charles in 1851, this one is with her aunt - so the one you referred to earlier. Or, if she hadn't actually been home on the night of the census they may have included her in error??? |

That's the one Flip, Richard is my 3xGreat-Grandfather, Martha & Mary are his sisters (neither ever marries), Ann is his step-mother, Lowersa (should be 'Louisa') is Mary's illegitimate daughter. So it looks like Elizabeth (aged 6) is living with her Uncle. Wonder where Henry and Priscilla are in 1841? |

No sign of Henry or Priscilla in 1841 - so really badly transcribed or under a different name? |

They must be Flip. I've had a few mistranscriptions of the surname. Kuntsworth/Hemsworth/Hunsworth and Unsworth amongst other. And here was me thinking this rare surname was going to be a doddle to researth. :-| |
