According to a tree on Rootsweb Joseph Vine's father was James Vine also born Linlithgow. Joseph's mother was Jane Lawson born Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

looking at my tree I have a Margaret McAlpine McMeechan born 1904 Linlithgow

Thomas & Helen's Granddaughter although it is more like 2nd niece to James & Margaret I'm thinking it looking positive

I think I'll go with it but put a note on my tree until I can Verify it more

Helen's brother James had a son Joseph 1860 Lincolnshire

These are the two that I think married and are cousins
1911 census Margaret states she was born in Linlithgow
and according to scotlandspeople their was only 1 Margaret McAlpine born then
