No Marie, it is definitely Merrington, some of the other census have it as Morrington but that is wrong, Merrington is in Co Durham just along the way from Coundon where Jane Ann (mother) was born. Just seen one only on FMP index. In reg district Gateshead.

Marian, might the birthplace be Herrington?
