Beatrice Attfield b1880, Guildford

Beatrice appears in 1881 census at home in Guildford with Mary Ann and Charles her parents and her siblings.
It appears as though in 1891 she is at the Stockwell Orphanage, although her mother is still alive.
Can anyone tell why she would have been in an orphanage, her other siblings were still listed at home?!!

Perhaps because her father died and her mother could look after all the children?

'overcrowding at home' is often quoted as a reason.
Suggest you do some google searches to learn about orphanages, workhouses, on the streets, destitute etc.
Had her father died? If so, lack of money.

Thanks

Her father, Charles died in 1886, it just seems strange as her 2 older and 2 younger siblings where kept at home and she was not.

Guess there is more digging required from me into this.
