Hello Paul, welcome to the boards.

Your first step should be to buy their 1906 marriage certificate to find out what info it gives for his father (if he knew him).

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
Marriages Sep 1906
CAMBRIDGE Elizabeth Wolverhampton 6b 1007
COOPER Clarence Victor L Wolverhampton 6b 1007

Order copy from GRO, costs £9.25

Dates not confirmed, except marriage.

is NOT Clarance A Cooper!

Married (1906) Elizabeth Cambridge b1887. I have her family, but want to trace the Cooper branch.

6 sons 4 daughters, Victor 1904, George 1907, Arthur 1912 William (Billy) 1913, Regionald 1914, Clarance 1916, Gladys 1918, Mary 1921, Vera 1924, Jean 1926

Father (who I am trying to trace) POSSIBLY William b1860.

I have unsuccessfully used loads of credits on the records ~ I'd love a hand to work back a generation or two.

Regards Paul
