Find Ancestors

Hi, Can anyone help. I am looking for a Robinson Porteus record, married to Catherine (widowed), do not have her maiden name, they had son Isaac porteus in 1901 in Bishop Auckland, any info would be helpful. Can't find a birth record for Isaac to confirm parents. I have this info from Catherine's death certificate in 1922.

Yes this is the son Isaac, from Catharine and Robinson Porteus, just can't find a birth record for Catherine as I don't know the maiden name, I can't find anything for Robinson and the GRO do not have a birth record for Isaac? Catherine was born in approx 1862 that I can work out from her death certificate, any advice of where to go next would be helpful thanks ;-)

Thank you very much @ Ann Cardiff, this could be it, thank you, ill follow this lead up. I thought it should be easy to find as Robinson is an unusal name, I have been searchng for R, this maybe where I have been going wrong.

Can I ask is there a way of searching a particular address on Census, on catherine's death certificate I have Robinson Porteus as a Coal Miner (deceased) 7 Backchurch Street, Coundon, Bishop Auckland. Thanks

Catherine Curle married Burdes,married John Dixon Porthouse born 1851 died 1912.
He is a widow in 1911 having been married for 14 years and no children.

1911 census for Isaac 1901 and mum Catherine,there is also Elizabeth Porteous born @ 1896 have you found her with Cathrine in 1901??
