James...Gievn that the info given on the Reg of death is only as good as those providing it then I would look at the info on James J Cusker's ...place of birth reads Kals...reckon that is "Kells" however Nellie Philps has me bamboozled..also on Catherine Cusker McLaughlins it shows "Cork" again could be a mistranscription....

The 1881 Scotland Census about Mary McDade with father's name Dominick McDade would fit so I will follow that up.

I am also looking into the Patrick Clusker and Nellie Phillips scenario from information previously provided by Eringobragh1916.

Gins...I have to agree these are all the same family..probably the IOWA birth place for James reads Irel. on the original..the transcriptions are nearly illegible on some of the docs I have looked at.

James...Unless there are 2 families with the same named children in the same place then I think the one 1910 is correct...

Yes James thats what puzzled me also hence the reason I needed the Census...I seem to recall a mother named Susan McClare...?

Never the less the details of James Clusker (death above) husband of Mary McDade show his parents as stated.
I found on one of the the Clusker family births that James Clusker father his place of birth given as Ireland (Cork) thought I had struck gold now I cannot find the damned thing..!!
The problem is I dont have access to view BMDs/census for the states....so cant triple check.

I found the marriage for Philip McLaughlin and Catherine Clusker on Scotlands People and I think I have found their children, so thanks to you that is another lineage I can add to my tree:-

In regards to Anthony, are you saying there were three children, Mary, James, and Agnes. I have Agnes, she was born 1925 and died in 1931. In respect of Anthony I have him as having died on 29/02/1928 in Springfield, Sangamon, Illinois.

That said, this James Clusker puzzles me:-

"James Clusker was a Corkman and his parents were Patrick Clusker and Nellie Philips"

I do not have a Patrick Clusker married to a Philips in my tree, possibly he is a son of one of the other Patrick Clusker's on the Irish side which as yet I have not found the time to research.

James (44) and Anthony(18) went out from Glasgow on the Calendonia arriving Sept 16 1906 destination daughter Susan Clusker living ..looks like Oak Park Springfield Sangamon Co.

Mary McDade Clusker followed on the Califonia arriving 29 June 1907 she was with James (16) Nellie(11) John(10)...going to husband 14 Ask St Springfield. the clarity of the address was not that clear but she also gave last address in Scotland as Stain Place Shotts...that was very clear. All stated b Fauldhouse

Catherine Clusker stayed home and married Philip Mclaughlan they travelled out on the Columbia arriving Oct 5 1913 with their 7 children..going to Mary McDade Clusker...2169 South 16th Street Springfield.

Anthony married an Agnes Graham in ILL. sometime after 1922..firsat child Mary b 1923 then James then Agnes .Anthony died 1928 buried Calvary Cem.
Cannot locate Patrick b.1901.

From what I can see James Clusker was a Corkman and his parents were Patrick Clusker and Nellie Philips.
Mary McDade Clusker was b Fauldhouse and the daughter of Dominic McDade/McDaid.

Philip McLaughlin was probably a Donegalman..nok his mother Brid.McLaughlin Cardonnagh (Co.Donegal)

Below Philip and Cath. on the mainifest was a John and Mary Kennedy plus 4 children staing they were going to Aunt Clusker (same address 2169 South 16th St.) the nok in Scotland was a Jane Kennedy (Mother) ..?? buildings Motherwell..This family has a line going through so I am thinking they didnt travel.
