I am not sure how to reply to all of you - but thank you so much for replying and answering my thread. It is very much appreciated. My Dad, who is Rubys Son also said THANK YOU.........I just wish I had the knowledge that you all had to search for the information. I have been trying to complete my fathers side of the tree for a couple of years - unfortunately time, work and children dont mix. But you have certainly gave my family some more information for the tree.

Kim - d'you know where Ruby was born? Was her surname Harris?

Ruby's marriage certificate should give details of her father (if she knew of him) and that would give something to work from.

Thank you so much for coming back with a great response. Sorry all i know is her daughter was born in 1911 - her name was Ruby. Ruby would never discuss anything of her Family. She was my dads mum. But my dads disabled sister remembers a uncle william - nothing else. She said she remembers they visited Cardiff quite a lot. So I am thinking in 1911, she would of been 20ish ? sorry im not much help - this is the wall i have been coming up against. thanks Kim

When/where was William born?

Has anyone any info on the 1911 Census showing a Jemima Harris ? I think she was born in Devon, but moved to Cardiff. Or has anyone any info on her. She was married, to whom I am still searching, but she had a Daughter and a Son call William. I am not sure of any other details as yet !! thanks in anticipation. :-)
