I would recommend getting the marriage cert.
Did they have children before 1911 do you know? Might be possible to find them 1911 if so.

Can someone please try and find a birth place for an Elizabeth Thompson, born 7/7/ 1877, I would think it would be in the North East of England or Yorkshire.

I found one on the IGI for Northumberland but that was a christening on the 1/7/1877, so thats to early.
