Thomas Fanstone/Vanston

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Can anyone help. I have a large Fanstone tree mainly from Downton in Wiltshire.
I have come across a Thomas Fanstone/Vanston who was base born 1756 Bramshaw Hampshire. His mother is Elizabeth.
Thomas married Hannah Oats/Oates Romsey 13/5/1783. They had about 7 children all baptized as Fanstone except one James 1803 who was baptized as Vanstone. I am interested to know if this family belongs on my tree. I can't trace anything more on Thomas. According to cencus they lived in Holy Rood Southampton. Hannah died after 1841 and there are 2 burials for a Thomas, 1823 and 1828.
Thankyou Lesley

Thanks Chris.
I have Betty, Harriet,Ann,Thomas,Sophia,William and John all baptized as Fanstone in Romsey.
I am trying to establish if Thomas born 1756 Bramshaw Hampshire is a Vanstone or a Fanstone. Vanstone's seem mainly to come from the West Country.
Thanks Lesley
