Mark, I suggest you put a bit more detail on here. I assume you have her on a census? If so, have you found the family 10 years later to see who she might be? |

Look for the birth on the index using the surname only, The last entry to that surname will have any children listed as MALE or FEMALE if the child was registered without a forename |

Look for the family in the 1901 census.....see if there is a 10-year old daughter |

If the info came from the census then it would normally give age in months for children under 1 year old but if this info said 0 years then the child could still have been born in 1890 and not necessarily born in 91 |

Sounds as if it was a newborn who hadnt been given a name at that time look on FreeBMD for a birth in the same quarter for the surname You can double check any name by looking at the 1901 census as advised by Reggie |

Can anyone else take a look at the original 1891 census for the family of William Beasley Summers as posted above? |

Re the image - wouldn't like to commit. All the ages have been crossed through which may mean that there isn't really a downward stroke which you think may be the y in day. |

If the child had not been named by the date of the census which was Sunday 5th April 1891, then she must only have been given a name AFTER the March quarter so wouldn't have been registered before then as there are no unnamed females in the Dec 1890 or March 1891 quarters. |

If she was Minnie then perhaps this explains why she doesn't appear in 1901 |
