Hi, I am trying to find relatives of Iris Sylvia Trimm.
She was the life long partner of my great Uncle. I have her death certificate. I know they never married. From her DC I know she was born 14 June 1908 in Wiltshire.

When I search records the only thing that comes up is her death in 1976. No birth record or 1911 census record.

Sadly, because they didn't marry, they were almost outcasted by the rest of the family, but I would like to know more about her. Any suggestions gratefully received

Are you certain she had not been married before

Keep looking at Penny surname on 1911

Could the reason they never married be because she was already married, in which case her birth surname would be different?

That is brilliant, thank you to everyone who has replied. I will work on that. I haven't been told if she was married previously or how long she had been with my great Uncle. Just know they had been together a long time, didn't marry and the family disapproved of her.
