Gillian, the only way is to buy the certificate.

Unless - you can find him in the 1851 and work back to a marriage for the parents. Having said that, with a name like Robson in the North East that mightn't be the best way!

I have a Thomas Humble Robson born 1st 1/4 1849 in Northumberland. It states Mother's maiden name : Not available before 1911 Q3 Volume 25 Page 371 Can anybody find out the Mothers nasme now??
