THOMAS RACE BORN 1857/1858

Marian Report 4 Feb 2013 19:54

There is a Thomas Race (born 1857/1858 Bishop Auckland) on the 1891 census at Chester le Street reg district (FMP), can't see him on the 1901 census but then appears again at Chester le Street reg district in 1911, assuming it is the same one. In 1881 his occupation was a tailor. Could someone please take a look. Thank you.

Marian - is he married on any of the census? Children?

Not that I'm aware of, in 1881 he is still at home with his parents at Newton Cap, Bishop Auckland. The 1911 census is a change of occupation so I'm thinking maybe its not him.

The chap in the 1891 is the same as the one on the 1911 (wife's birthplace is a good clue).

Which is the one that you are connected to?

Thank you all, I've found a tree on Ancestry for his brother and I've emailed the person who put it on but apparently he's on vacation and is going to contact me next week, so hoping he can fill in the gaps. I see Thomas is a widower in 1900 so maybe my contact to be will know when Dinah died. Thanks again.
